East Donegal Township Chickies Creek Day Use Area — Attraction in East Donegal Township

This park is beautiful and used to be one of our favorites to walk with our dog. But, sadly, we've gone only twice this summer and each time we were encountered by unleashed dogs and owners not in control. The first was a large mastiff and today a cattle dog. Today, the cattle dog approached with his owner nowhere in site and then again came up behind us with owner trailing behind on his phone. No apologies. There are WASPS in the playground! We were there for family photos 6/4/23 and the location is great for that. Our daughter wanted to play on the playground before we left. She started tapping on the plastic “drums” and all of a sudden wasps started flying out. Thankfully we saw this before she was stung and we left immediately. I enjoy walking and photography but the unleashed dogs I see daily has turned me off. Dogs running up to me barking and growling with no owner in sight really annoys me. I will stop going to this park for that reason. Really wish the township would make a stand and put signs up...
