Definitely a beautiful area to explore there is a parking area for this once you park if you bang a right that will take you to the abandoned resort looking houses which are all boarded up and there is a very cool look to it. You will also find an old abandoned tennis court and a couple other courts in the back also a road that is no longer used that will bring you down to Salmon River I did a complete loop from the alltrails app and saw lots of dogs here which were awfully which I thought was nice. There is also a slight view of the vista. You also find a grill in outhouse and some picnic benches in this area as well.

This is a nice area to dog walk or talk a hike. The path is mostly level and portions wind through the now defunct Sunrise Resort - Frank Davis Resort. In their era these parks were considered top tourist destinations. During the late 1980's tourism wound down and subsequently the state purchased the open space. After a few years of disrepair the state demolished all but the most historic buildings.

Such a beautiful place and visit. I was able to refrence some history, to find out it was a resort years ago. Now, known as a state park, some of the houses still remain, but I can see the happiness that was there at one time. Many places to walk and enjoy nature. If you're looking for a nice destination to take in some nature and history, this place is worth it. Pack a nice lunch.

Pretty nice place to go to early in the morning to walk and explore in peace. There are only 3 buildings of the old resort left the rest are the old roads that lead to the rest of the resort and foundations where there were buildings. The only con I would say is the amount of dog owners with loose dogs even though it clearly says they need to be on a leash. The morning I went 3 different dogs started barking at me and going towards me until the owners called them back. One day one of them will get cracked over the snout by someone for chasing them and the owner has no right...

Nice park but terrible signage! There is one entrance for boaters and another entrance 3 driveways down for non boaters. No road signs until you get onto the appropriate road and drive 50 or so feet. I made a mistake at first and ended up on someone's private road and driveway. The parking lots are "rustic". I was there to kayak on a Thursday morning and I was the only one out there. It was nice not to see any litter. The last 3 pics show you the entrance but taken on my way out. Going in, that house is...
