Empire park has been here since I was a kid. As a parent, it's still as much fun as when I was a kid. It's age shows, and there are some rough edges, but the overall enjoyment is still there. Be cautious of splinters. Plenty of seating and shaded areas. Large open fields to play games in, and a playground that rivals all playgrounds throughout the Quad Cities.

I went to this park for one of the Birthday party. The park is sideby to Mississippi river. The park has 3 big shelters with wooden benches and barbecue place. The park entrance is on main road. The park has space for 30+ family members outing. For kids, park has a big wooden play area. Kids can spend time there. Overall good experience.

Great park just be Aware of people around. We have been to the park with very social people and been there at a time we left early due to very rough play and the parents allowing it to happen.

Nice park! Huge wooden playground for kids near the entrance. Has a couple of pavilions. There are park charcoal grills and tables for each one. This park also has a huge field and sits right next to the Mississippi for fishing and boating. Bike/walk path runs along river through this park and connects to Ben Butterworth Parkway. Mini golf that sits at the entrance to the park is...

Great park! 2 sets of playgrounds, on top of the beach, and a boat dock as well. BIGGEST complaint is that we have brought a bag with us to pick up glass on the peach every time we've gone now for 2yrs & haven't made a dent! Why on earth has no one arranged to have that cleaned up? If you ever decide to do it, or need someone to organize it...
