ArtsXchange - Southeast Community Cultural Center — Attraction in East Point

I have been fortunate to enjoy a wide range and plethora of experiences and offerings at the ArtsXchange---from spoken word, writing workshops, exhibitions, concerts, artists' talk-backs, gardening, yoga, photography and collage making classes to name a few.

The artists-in-residence as well as the physical space are welcoming. Not only have I had a chance to appreciate the artistic expression of others, but ArtXchange (as a space and collective) has also allowed me the chance to glimpse and grow the artist/creative in me.

Ribbon cutting for the new Arts Xchange in Eastpoint. You have to see it to believe it. The architects did a great job rehabbing an abandoned school. The studios, the gallery, the Black BoxxTheatre, a recording studio!, the Art and the working artists. It's just a great place to connect, learn, create and enjoy the arts. Staff is unprofessional no customer service. I don't recommend having a event at this place you won't get any answers but a nasty attitude from the lady that states she is running the show. You would think as a black community we would have advanced in treating other blacks with respect. We need to do better as a community.
