Jones Park — Attraction in East St. Louis

My grandmother taught me to be thankful for everything that you get. And there is something to be said for that sentiment. But having been educated in the seventies and eighties I can't help but think about idea of separate but equal. It's not that Jones Park is particularly bad or run-down or anything else. But it just does not have that finished clean look the parks in other part of Illinois that I have been to have. There's just a certain amount of neglect. Impressed with the upkeep of the park. Was visiting the city and love walking the trail. Though, the trail could use some tending: de-weeding/grassing, daily clearing, etc. and smoothing of the trail. It is a walking path, having a smooth clear path is more of a safety concern.
