The lake and beach are beautiful, however the EP lifeguards are swim Nazis!! Basically no fun allowed. Constantly badgering parents and kids with their pedantic rules. Bunch of 16 yr olds with an overzealous supervisor taking it all WAY too seriously. No mermaid tails, no lifejackets (unless coastguard approved), no inflatables or "rough housing" of any kind, no sand buckets on your head. Oh, and if your child is under 6 an adult must be within arms length at all times. The water is less than 4 ft deep! Give me a break! Why should they require that level of supervison of everyone when they are there being paid to watch everyone? It's like this at the EP community center and Round lake as well. A case of rules gone soooo far that it sucks all the fun out of the experience. Why not intervene when individuals are not swimming safety instead of imposing beach fascism? I'll come back when the swim Nazis are gone...

The park itself is nice. Lots of tables and grilling options. The playground is nice. Grounds are well maintained. No bathrooms (just biffs) but that’s alright. There is a water bottle refilling station near the beach but the water doesn’t taste the best.

The reason I give this place 2 stars is for the lifeguards. I’ve been here before a few years ago, and it’s just as bad. The life guards are zealous and nit pick everything. No horsing around in the water, no swearing, etc. My son happened to sit on the retaining wall which wasn’t very high - they said something about that. We go to a lot of pools and beaches and they are the worst here.

The lake itself is relatively clean, but the sand is just OK. But with the lifeguards, this place is not worth it imo. I’d rather go to Bryant Lake...

On google they said that dogs are allowed but apparently not so now we can’t go on the beach and we spent money on stuff for this then the kept telling us that we can’t have Floaties then the sign said pool noddles are allowed so we took it in to the water and a worker came and said no pool noodles. So my grandma said that the sign said we could have them . Then he said oh ok I’ll go check so then he said oh there’s used to have tape covering it and we can’t have them. Also the whole bottom was covered with weeds and gross things. It smells like dead rotten fish to. We asked if we can at least go in the outside areas right next to the swim area and she said no. Also the swim area is soooo small. Lastly it was so busy. This is the WORST beach I...
