An Iconic Martha’s Vineyard Experience! Jumping off the Jaws Bridge is an absolute must-do when visiting Martha’s Vineyard! The views are stunning, the water is refreshing, and the whole experience has this fun, timeless, summer vibe. Whether you're leaping into the bay or just watching others take the plunge, it's an unforgettable spot. The bridge is easy to access, and parking is manageable if you go early. It’s also a great photo op, especially for fans of the *Jaws* movie. A perfect combination of thrill, tradition, and natural beauty — can’t recommend it enough!

Visited here with my family on Monday July 15th 2024 as part of our sightseeing martha's vineyard trip to see the filming location of Jaws! Got to this bridge via Oak Bluffs, and the Transit authority, which runs buses every 20 minutes to all the stops and locations. We started with the beach of the Jaws bridge! People were actually jumping in the water too, and i guess that's a thing! Nice views of the water and beautiful waters and scenic views!

The Jaws bridge is that perfect little adrenaline rush we all need. It's about 15 to 20 feet jump. The water feels like a pool. Compared to the beaches up north in Hampton and Salisbury where, you have to become numb to enjoy. It's quite pleasant here. If you ever visit Martha's Vineyard, you must visit it this area. There's a beach attached to it called State Beach. Even if your not jumping it's great for people watching.

This is a fun but relatively safe way to get a small adrenaline rush and add a special memory to a vacation. When we went about 50 other people were gathered around ready to jump or cheering on someone they knew who was taking the plunge.

There are no official rules but there are unspoken ones. Rule 1. Never jump where someone else is jumping. Rule 2, wait for the jumpers below to get out of they way and only jump when the water area is clear of people. While I'm the bridge the jump seems high it is probably about 15 feet. We talked to at least 20 people and no one reported ever touching the bottom. As always when jumping off something make sure the water is deep enough, don't dive in, make sure nothing dangerous is in the water and exercise caution. When you jump it's at your own risk.

This is a popular tourist destination so expect crowds. It's popular for a reason which is that it's a lot of fun. We saw small kids, elderly people and everyone in-between jumping. It's a great all ages activity. I jumped five times and jumped holding my partners hand. It was sweet and exciting all at once. I had a blast jumping and then a fun time watching others jump. Kids do back flips and cannon balls. It's fun to go home and brag to friends about how you jumped off the famous jaws bridge. Next time you are in a team building exercise and need to think of an interesting thing you have done you will have a good answer.

The bridge is next to a small beach. The beach isn't the best on the island but it's located near the Oak Bluff. The beach is sandy, clean and has no waves. It's a good family beach hut no particularly exciting. It's a good beach to hang out at after jumping but I wouldn't bother visiting it I'd I weren't jumping off the bridge.

Parking is limited. I suggest parking a ways away and walking to it or riding a bike to it. Traffic tends to build up...

Great place for jumping, people watching, and sunsets. The reason why the sign says no jumping is so no one can file a lawsuit for getting injured. Two brothers drowned summer 2022 because they jumped at night when no one else is around and they probably were drinking. FYI, the current Bridge is a replacement of the original in the Jaws movie. Back in the day we would jump off on either side depending on the Wind. The goal was to make a big enough splash to come up to reach the road and get bicyclists wet. It was actually quite challenging and Technical to get the timing right. You had to time yourself how long your jump was and also the time the splash would...

Martha's Vineyard is relaxing! It's more for couples than kids, Thank God. Lot's of woods and lot's of beaches. There is no other form of entertainment, literally. However, there are no beach fees, and no parking meters! The island is BEAUTIFUL. I would DEFINITELY go back. The houses are so unique. JAWS bridge from the film JAWS was super cool to see in person. The bridge is in excellent shape. However, it is illegal to jump off the bridge. I would highly recommend in not doing so. People have drowned from jumping. Please, just enjoy the bridge, it's cool history, and leave...
