Man what a Deal. This is the Best Oil and Gas Museum in the United States and has more exhibits and real stuff than most of the Museums in Texas and the Nation. Yes there are Rotary and Cable tool Drilling Machines that date back 60 years and these all steel drilling machine stand erect to prove this existance. The Gypsy Spudder #5 was manufactured in Chanute, Kansas by Sutcliffe Pipe and Supply and is the showplace of Cable Tool Drilling in the 1940"s in Eastern Kansas. Go see this Museum, look at the old Star Spudder and the late model Rotary Rig on the Museum Grounds. Included is the Gypsy Spudder #5. We started out inside and saw a movie about it and the area around El Dorado, some scale models to show how rigs work, and then outside to get up close to rigs and other fascinating equipment pertaining to the oil field. We gave all of that a good inspection, then turned a corner and they have some old time buildings set up for people to look at.
