We come here 3 to 5 times a week. We are local, and we come to fish in the evening until the park closes at 9pm. Tonight we were harassed by a park Ranger. As my boyfriend was walking to get the car a park Ranger asked him "where he has been", that he had been looking for the owner of my car. That we shouldn't be here because the park closes at 8. We were parked in public parking, along with 6 other vehicles, so why say anything to just us. He threatened to write a ticket if we didn't leave, which makes zero sense because the park is OPEN UNTIL 9PM. Thanks for ruining a perfectly good evening for a family doing absolutely nothing wrong. I feel it is in the job description to know the park hours. Highly frustrated with today's experience, and the lack of...

Great clean, quiet, secluded beach without all the rowdy crowds which flock to the nearby more popular areas. Every visit is always peaceful, with very few people around and the area is really kid friendly! Apparently the required entrance fee, which I believe is low and should be raised considerably, does an excellent job of keeping out the trashy elements (drunks, rednecks, ghetto thugs, partiers, Panama City type crowds, etc) which flock to the nearby beaches. The park rangers stationed on site patrol the area quite frequently and will not hesitate to address any problems. It's a really nice beach where one can go with family and enjoy the day in a peaceful...

It’s an amazing place, can’t say enough. You do need to pay $25 per vehicle which is valid for the entire week or $15 for pedestrians but I think it’s worth every penny. The money goes for conservation which is great. I went here for run everyday I was in the area for 7 days and it’s so refreshing. Mostly people just park the vehicle on roadside or in the parking run / walk on the road. Pets are ok on the road but not on beach as usual. They’ve shelters and restrooms too. There is a .3 mile walking trail and about 2 miles in way on the road. If you get lucky, you could meet a ghost crab or see a turtle nest.

What a Great place to spend the day. People don't utilize these facilities enough. I go there all the time, and have for many years. the one year pass did just go to $40 from $30 but still well worth every penny as often as I end up over there 30 or more times a year but it also covers all other National seashore's like Fort Pickens as well. There's fishing in the Gulf or on the sound side Back Bay grass beds. There's also free restrooms barbecue grills covered gazebo type awnings, and a few power outlets to charge cell phone set equipment
