We were feeling like we were in an RV caravan heading east on Hwy 38 and wanted a change of scenery. We like side trips and we like wine so we decided to stop in River’s Edge Winery on the corner of River Dr and Hwy 38. We are glad that we did. Colin Dudley did a great job of educating us on the wine and telling the story of the winery. All the wines that we tasted were excellent. We like trying unique varietals and we bought a couple bottles of their 2016 Baco Noir. We tasted the wine about week later and regret not buying more. We visited two other wineries that day and it reminded me of Sonoma County 40 years ago.

Had a great time here! Excellent wines and very knowledgeable and friendly staff. You can tell that the staff gets along really well and treat each other as family. That warmth and positivity really comes through in their high quality wines! Great variety of wines with all local grapes and many unique flavors.

Well made wines from local grapes. These wines are not big jammy wines, they are well crafted made to drink now. We enjoyed and purchased many, with the Pinot being our favorite. Prices are great, stop by for a taste and take a six pack home to ma!!

Rivers Edge was such a departure from the standard tasting room experience. Colin rolled out the welcome mat for us when we walked in and took us through the tasting while working with us at the level we're at (hint:we're far from wine experts). I know he could have drowned us in details- they guy obviously knew his wine. Instead though, we all focused on having a great damn time while we sipped our way through tasting.

I mean, at the end of the day, a tasting is all about (hopefully) finding a wine you love. We walked out of Rivers Edge with two cases of different Pinots. There are going to be a lot of happy friends and family when they get their Christmas...

I stopped here in the midst of a long day of motorcycle travel. I caught Vonnie in the tasting/wine making room an hour before closing. She poured a taste of everything, the last being their Baco Noir. All the wines were very credible-- I was surprised at the quality of the winemaking. I was only faintly aware of Baco Noir. It was delicious. I bought a bottle and when I got home I shared it with friends, all were impressed. The visit and tasting with Vonnie was a treat and an experience I'll remember. I encourage you visit. If you like wine and an up front and personal tasting experience, you be happy! ...
