Great trails for kids! There’s a short story trail that has laminated pages from a kids book so that you can read while walking. It gets changed out with a different book every so often. They recently put a free kids library next to the story trail. It looks like a frog and is a low height for easy kid access. Also, it’s almost all shaded which is a huge bonus if you have fair-skinned kids. An all-terrain stroller or wagon is recommended. There are quite a few roots at the beginning and on other trails. The short story trail has minimal roots.

Since the house is closed right now due to Covid, I can’t say much about it. But if you’re coming only for the gardens, they’re not expansive. There’s a pretty but small formal garden in back of the house, and an overgrown cutting garden on the other side of the entrance road, as well as a local community garden area. Maybe you can find the small mausoleum in the woods that’s noted on the map. I looked but couldn’t find it. Looks interesting. There are woods trails as well. Looks like a vibrant place for community events in normal times.

Great museum! Small but plenty to see how the lived in the 1700 through 1800s. Furnishings are exquisite and beautiful. The have an original bed covering in master. Must see! You get an individual tour w appointment. Very nice. Great tour guide Rory. They also have 2 barns with carriages in them. In the back they gave walking resists which are free.

We’ve been here many times, but never for the same event twice…..meaning they offer a wide variety of events. The walking trail is great. They have a big grassy area that is used for everything from croquette to summer lawn concerts. There is ample parking, but it’s a little bit of a walk. There’s also parking nearby, but it fills up early. Very relaxed atmosphere. The museum (main house) is very interesting. The new barn they’ve built has meeting rooms, a full, mostly commercial kitchen, a large room for weddings and other events, and it’s all easily handicap accessible. Everything there is very well maintained and...

It's a great place to take a nice easy walk through the woods. Great place to take your dogs or kids. Wonderful historical buildings. It is currently not open in the inside to the public, but when it is. It's a great place to have tea, play crochet, and enjoy the beautiful antiques. There is also a pretty interesting tomb from the original owners or inhabitants out in the wooded area. My husband likes to fly his drone around in the open field. You can also go sledding when it snows. Its just a great and cool place to go in all different weather conditions and...
