Ely Public Library — Attraction in Ely

The Ely Public Library is a wonderful resource for Ely! The librarians are very friendly and responsive to the individual needs of the patrons. There is outreach from children to seniors. When people expressed a wish for wellness programs, we got yoga, Tai chi and meditation programs throughout the year. We are fortunate to have a seed sharing program which has received national attention from other individuals interested in setting up such an opportunity for their community. In addition, the library sponsors programs throughout the year for our community. I can’t say too much about our library! We are fortunate to have such bright educated librarians...

ive been trying not to leave this review for months. its the loudest library on earth. i have left this library for a quieter place of study nearly every other time i go. "shhhh, this is a library" does not get said in this building. yesterday at 3pm?....a band, a full band, started playing inside of the library. its a small library. common courtesy for its intended use? none. i left again. if you want to yell in this library, feel free, its very allowed. if you would like to roam the isles while talking on your phone...

Never be afraid to ask a libratian for help, advice, or just "How are you doing?". Rachel and the other staff at the Ely Library are 'Top Shelf' with their friendlyness and readiness to help! My 6 year old and I asked Rachel for a recommendation as she was having trouble finding something to get excited about reading. We got directed to the Thunder and Cluck series and my little girl LOVED...
