A wonderful alpine lake located at the base of Wheeler Peak in Great Basin National Park. This lake is more shallow than the neighboring Teresa Lake (thus lacking in some of the beautiful teal water) but features Wheeler Peak as a wonderful backdrop.
The hike to get to Stella Lake is listed as moderate but quite doable as the terrain is easily traveled but not paved and about 450ft of elevation must be climbed. Be aware, however, this hike begins in the neighborhood of 10,000ft. The air is thinner so be prepared to take your time and breaks.
