This 4th of July, I took my family on a lil road trip to this lake. The experience was so eerie. We felt like we were being watched the whole entire time. Cars kept driving up super slow as they were going to park, then would just go around the culdesac around the playground! (This lake is located at the end of a residential neighborhood and so were thinking 'oh the homeowners are just driving around and making sure everything is okay.') But we didn't see any neighborhood watch signs or any signage stating that its private property. So, we arrived at 6pm and were just enjoying the breeze and the scenery, but cars kept driving passed as to be watching us....I mean not subtle at all like literally drive super slow, stop right in front of us and stop for a minute or so then speed off. My kiddos are sitting in a pavilion at a picnic table and a truck comes up, drives around slow, and he stops right in front of the pavilion, rolls down his window and by then we call the kids to come over to us by our car. We then ask "what did that old man say?" Then our kids tell us that he had threw something in the trashcan right in front. No wave or any friendly faces at all! I mean super weird and a bad feeling! But its Fourth of July and we needed a day to chill and the kiddos to be carefree and have a great time, so we stayed. A couple showed up and parked next to us, they walked their 2 dogs around and left after 15 mins. Then another couple parked next to us about 45 mins after them, and the man got outta his truck, and plants a fishing pole in the ground, no bait or fishing tackle and starts texting on his phone, he walks back to his truck, his wife is in the truck the whole time and they sit there. About 5 mins later a man rides up in a bicycle, with a toddler in the back in a child's seat and takes him to play on the playground. Then I get the nerve and a feeling to go up to him and ask him a question about firework attractions nearby, and he says "he's not too familiar with the area" and all the while he's sweating profusely and the toddler is saying, "can I go back to my mommy now?" By then I'm like oh okay and thank you, walk back over to our car and we just start packing up and getting a move on. We get in the car and the couple that had planted the fish pole in the ground, took the fishing pole outta the ground and got in the car and watched as we left to make sure we were gone. We left around 8:30 and were down the street, and this older lady just looks at us with a fake grin and smiles at us. Super weird!!!

I dont recommend this park to anybody who isn't a local of that specific neighborhood. I mean, maybe it was just our experience but I've never encountered this much awkwardness in my entire life!

But our kiddos had fun and the scenery...

My husband and I go frequently. We love feeding the ducks...and they love being fed. We went on a drizzly day in this photo and the waves were moving quickly so it was a good sight to see the wind toss them on to the banks. The park is clean. Good fishing spot and it always has ample parking and photo ops. The picnic tables are clean and spacey. Is wheel...

The scenery is awesome!!! But the people that live around there are not. This park is at the end of a residential area and theres a culdesac and people just drive by super slow and literally break their neck staring right at us with no wave hi or smile!!!! Super weird!!! Didn't get a friendly feeling, just a what are you doing...
