Yes I give this piece of nature 5 stars! 😂 Feels a bit arrogant rating Nature yet here I am! I would prefer to actually frame this at a 5 star celebration vs a rating. If you’ve visited Mount Rainier you know…if not, I’m excited for how you will fall in love with this portion of it (presumptuous of me to say you will fall in love with it). My experience: lush rich forest, moving water, water falls, and a volume of opportunities to take a picture and better yet sit down and let it sink all in. This place was a gift. I’m parking was slim yet since maybe less popular or a spot, parking was no issue for the 2 vehicles in our group. Hot tips: *Its timed entry so buy tickets ahead of time. *Visit the Henry Jackson Memorial Center, where Paradise Inn is located. (Bring your own food to save some $$) *Visit Sunrise visitor center. *Visit Naches trail head and bring mosquito spray. *Visit Little Tipso Lake (1 min drive, 11min walk from Naches) *Pray for a clear and sunny day. Regardless it will be breath taking.

Incredible hiking trail! Large thick trucked trees, several fern varieties, and the best smelling forest I’ve had the pleasure of sniffing. I could not find parking at the Ohanapecosh campground where the trail begins (or ends), so instead I drove to the stevens canyon entrance and parked at the trailhead parking lot. From there, one can cross the road and be on the trailhead. The trail runs parallel to the Ohanapecosh river and you can witness and hear thundering waterfalls flowing through canyons. There are many bridges that cross creeks and streams that feed the river as well as a large bridge that crosses the waterfalls (at around the half way mark). The entire trail is around 3.4 miles from campground to Stevens Canyon entrance parking lot.

Silver Falls is stunning! While it wasn’t very easy to find the trail without GPS, we eventually made it through the Hot Spring Trailhead off Highway 123. The trail itself is about 2.5 miles and fairly easy, with no bugs during our early June visit. The scenery was breathtaking. Early summer brought vibrant greens, peaceful surroundings, and a refreshing quietness that made the hike even more enjoyable. But the true highlight was the waterfall — it’s now at the top 3 of my list of favorite waterfalls! The turquoise water, the powerful sound of the falls, and the whole atmosphere were simply indescribable. We didn’t see any restrooms around.

Beautiful, peaceful hike for me and my daughter, two moderately experienced hikers. A few bridges to cross that she wasn't so sure of, but we took our time (few hikers out on this day) and all was fine. We explored close to the water at the falls by picking a path across the rocks and sat by the water for a bit noticing how much lower it is this year than in years past. Its pretty obvious that the water has cut into the rocks for many, many years - up much higher than is wet this year. We didn't hike the entire loop trail, but doubled back to the car after an hour or so. There are some hills, but also plenty of flat spots to rest and take amazing views. For sure bring water and maybe a snack/picnic...
