Loop C Comfort Station — Hotel in Enumclaw

Enjoyed the campground. We weren't big fans of the bathrooms. They were below the standard we have come to expect from national park campgrounds. Lots of bugs indoors, even for a campground. The tent site itself was really nice. Good size and spacing, but the neighbors could be heard pretty easily. Not a big deal for us, as we were the last to go to sleep as usual, but we made an active effort to be quiet more so that we've usually needed to in a national park. This is a nice campground, though it doesn't have showers or electric hookups. It's great for tent camping and has restrooms with running water and flush toilets. It's in a beautiful forest setting east of Paradise. Park rangers do nice little nature programs in the ampitheater, and firewood is available for purchase from a vendor who drives through the campsite loops twice each evening. It was $7/bundle...

This campground was busy during our visit, but there were still open spots. We were on a loop located next to the river, but there are no trails down to the river (confirmed by the ranger) from this loop. You can get down, but it would be very steep for some.
