This is probably the nicest dog park I’ve ever visited. With this exception that people don’t pay attention to the signs. If your dog is 25 pounds or less it’s the first part separated for small dogs. If you have a dog the size of a poodle or Germans Shepard you bet the dog is a larger dog over 25 lbs. but regardless of how friendly your dog is there’s reasons for the three deprecated areas. It really is a bother when a larger dog is growling at a smaller dog and bites the smaller dog which was exactly what happened with my nieces dog. My niece was crying and no one would claim the larger dog but enough adults were sitting there chatting and starting as she crying for help. She’s 17 and adults that sit in their clicks without acknowledge the cry of help to assist another person shouldn’t be allowed there. Those adults knew whose dog it was. They go there daily from my understanding. Step up and help if you see something. Say something. Don’t be an ignorant person. Help someone in need. Who’s to say it won’t...
Read moreWe the beautiful atmosphere of this park. Great place to let your dogs run and train socially for both novice and experienced owners. Be aware of yours and other dogs behavior since some are not as trained as others. In that mean both owner and animal. As we all know, even the best can be irritated by another and instincts can take over, thus the owner must be responsible for the behavior and take action. Remember this is a social atmosphere for the animal to learn positive and accepted behavior. Not for owners to just let their animal run and not be put of the positive enforcement. Be cautious of your children, to not just run up to dogs they don't know. Some dogs may not be exposed to little ones and may become fearful. Just a few thoughts that someone of less familiarity might want to prepare, so the experience is...
Read moreThis is a great dog park! I love how it is separated by dog size and has a 35lb or less area. I believe the second area is supposed to be for medium and the last area is for large, but seems like dogs of all sizes are in the middle area.
I wish the areas were clearly marked as it would be great to have a section for medium sized dogs. Lola is just around 35lbs and sometimes the really big dogs will bully her. Since she is so timid, owners have never complained if I asked if she could join the little dogs area, but is still a bit annoying.
The park has plenty of bags and lots of water sources available. Lots of parking and the park hours are reasonable. Just keep in mind this is a very active and large dog park. You’ll want to ensure your pup is fixed and comfortable being around fairly large groups of...
