Thank you (muchas gracias) for reading the Honest Reviews4u! This is a great hidden place to visit especially if you are Stargazing or just want to have a picnic. The location has a small trail section to walk around for a good 15 to 20 minutes depending on how fast or slow you walk. Does have a few limited tables to eat for picnic. I really like the river theme that was created. Your can also eat or get a drink at the local cafe located in the area of the parking lot. The local is very clean so please make sure to pick up after your self so other can enjoy. The start tower is about 2 or 3 stories high and is a great place to see the sunset or moonset. The location does help inspire anyone at any age who looks upon the stars and becoming encouraged to be an amateur or professional astronomers. Great place to bring your telescope or binoculars. The local is open to the residents and the public (verified this with the official Estrella community). The gates does close so please check close times. Best time to visit is during winter since it darkens early which gives more time to enjoy the night sky and avoid the hot weather. Highly recommend this place! 👍🏽 After visiting here consider visiting Tres Rios Wetlands located 15 minutes away and named top 100 things to do...
Read moreUse to come here a few years ago and take in some serene time by myself on multiple occasions when I road a motorcycle. Didn't find the park as peaceful or pleasant. Things are different, more traffic on the road, seems like a longer walk to get to it from parking.
Just might be more enjoyable on a cool evening or early morning with clearer skies. So plan accordingly. Flora & fauna is not what it was in the past but that could be the seasonal thing. It was 90 degrees at sunset on the first day of monsoon season.
I'd suggest some experts in the studies of the desert nature & its natural habitats to recommend more plant species to attract the beautiful creatures and improve floral scenery that offers sight, smell & hearing senses.
Don't know what the building is about, they had built & didn't notice any trash receptacles. Handicap friendly it is not, had a hard time with a cane & negotiating the stairs. Needs paved parking and shorter route as I am disabled due to a recent illness &...
Read moreAll advertising and premise design would indicate open public trails, and star gazing. This was not the case. The only posted hours (which were online) indicated they closed at 8:15. We got there before 8 and the welcome center was closed. We began walking the trail at the parking lot and had audio tell us to leave the premise before extra security measures were taken. We thought it meant for the welcome center, so we walked the sidewalk on the main road towards the tower. There were open, accessible paths the whole way there, that also led in to the neighboring trails and neighborhoods. It all looked public. The paths were lit, the info signs were backlit, it all looks like it's intended for night observation. Until you get right to the base of the tower and are met with a no trespassing sign, and a residents only sign. It made my kids nervous enough, after being scolded by security cameras, we just left. It looks pretty from the road, but don't bother going for...
