Was looking forward to stopping in for a coffee and a possible bite to eat after a long hike since last time I came over I didn’t have time to pick anything up after checking out the Star Tower nearby. Unfortunately it was more bad than good. Let’s start with the good. It’s easy to get to. Once you see the star tower it’s the first driveway. The outdoor patio is nice. They offer corn hole out on the small grass area and a view of mountains with a few trails. It is connected to a welcome center for the track homes. The sandwich was good and I’ll get to it in more detail soon. The cons were huge for me. I was happy to see cold brew as an option and they offer HWC as well. So I ordered my go to cold brew, sf vanilla and asked for a TINY splash of cream. I also ordered a breakfast sandwich called the breakfast cronnini that comes on a croissant with fried egg, Gouda and ham. The croissant is grilled. Service was mediocre at best. While there were three employees working they were more focused on talking to each other than anything else. The cashier managed a meh hello. After paying and tip it was about $20. There was one person ahead of me and isn’t take too long to get my items. Unfortunately the cold brew “coffee” if you could call it that was wrong the second I saw it. You coffee drinkers know what I mean. Instant sight of it. It was so light it was like they poured a gallon of HWC inside with a splash of cold brew. They were focused on making three orders after mine that I decided not even to waste my breath at this point. Definitely won’t be back. It left a bad taste in my mouth literally. One sip and felt like I was...
Read moreI was in the Welcome Center 5/16 after touring homes I stopped at Cafe Bebida to purchase a drink I believe just after 12pm. The gentlemen that helped with my order was great I had requested a drink and an iced cup of water and excused myself to us the restroom while my order was made. I didn’t receive the iced cup of water filled just a cup of ice after I came back to grab my drinks.
I asked the woman near my drinks if she could fill my cup with water. She had a container filled with water in front of her on the counter. She directed to inform me if I wanted water I had to walk down the hallway somewhere by the restrooms to a water fill station.
I don’t believe this is a standard for all guests, and it was extremely rude she did not want to fill my cup after I had just purchased my drink, received the ice cup from the cafe and she had a water container in front of her at the counter.
I will however say Estrella is an amazing community with great amenities for residents, and the Welcome Center representative shared all the great things Estrella has to offer. However, this interaction at the cafe did not make me feel welcomed...
Read moreThis is one of the most scenic and beautiful places to grab a bite to eat and a delicious coffee, tea, water, etc. There is seating indoor and outdoor. If you need an energy boost, you can ask for a plant based lotus shot to add to any drink such as lemonade or a flavored water. The shot is flavorless but full of ENERGY.
The staff is AMAZING!!! It does get busy and because they make everything on the spot, you might need to wait a bit. They have salads, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, gelato and more!
Every season, the staff creates new and unique drinks and posts them on the board. A couple of my favorites are the Toffee Brittle Frappe and the Pineapple Green Tea Lemonade.
Their prices are way less than Starbucks and the quality is a lot better. Be sure to tip the staff AND be polite....they work hard and take a lot of from people who don't understand what it is like to work at a cafe'.
This is a great place to...
