Fendall Hall was such an amazing experience, and if you like to tour historical houses, this is a must! The house is just spectacular. The decor, furniture, clothing and items were all so amazing to see. The detail, painting and woodworking on the walls and ceilings were breathtaking. There are a lot of stairs though, especially if you go up to the cupula. But that was a must see for us. You have the option to just wander about on your own, or you can have someone give you a tour. There are also QR codes spread throughout so you can look up any information on your own. We decided to just wander about on our own, but the lady was very kind and welcoming. We really loved our visit and wish more of the houses in Eufaula were open for tours. The price is not bad at all. It was only $10 for adults, children under 12 are free, so my two kids and I only cost $10. It was well worth it.

Fendall Hall was the absolute crown jewel of my Eufala trip. The sprawling grounds and grand mansion make an impressive first impression, but it's the passionate guide who truly brings the experience to life. Their energy and knowledge were infectious, making the tour both informative and entertaining. The mansion's interior is a marvel of preservation, allowing visitors to step back in time. The QR codes in each room add another layer of discovery, offering detailed insights into the room's history and past occupants. Exploring the attic and cupola was a special treat, offering unique perspectives and stunning views. Fendall Hall is a captivating journey into history, and I can't wait to return for another visit.

This is history! This beautiful home was built by a gentleman in the mid-1800’s. He moved to Eufaula for the cotton business. The home is beautifully preserved by the Alabama Historical Commission. Your $10 entrance fee helps with the preservation efforts and grants you a guided tour of the first floor and a self-guided tour of the upper floors. The guide was knowledgeable about the families who lived there and how they used the various rooms of the house.

We were there for my sister's wedding. It is the perfect venue for that type of event. They are much more cooperative than the other historic house Shorter Mansion. She had her first wedding there more than 30 years ago. The ladies who are in charge of that venue were difficult to say the least. The staff at Fendall Hall we're very accommodating. The wedding was held near the steps going up to the porch the guest chairs were set seated on either side. The house itself was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season. The banister and the accompanying swags were perfectly placed the Christmas tree in the parlor area was spectacular. The selection of period furniture was very nice. It is worth a stop if you are in Eufaula or going through Eufaula on the way to the beach. The signage on the main thoroughfare lacks though so you will have to either look it up on a map or ask a local in the downtown region. All in all I would say take the time out to spend an hour...
