I think the best part of the Christmas Tour was after we had finished touring the Mansions of Eufaula my Mom and I were driving down the street and she gasped at the sight of The Eufaula House and she was carrying on about how beautiful the house was, not knowing, that was where we were staying. I asked her, "You like that House?" and she said, "Oh Yes!!" That is when I told her, "Great! Cause that is where we are staying!" Her face just lit up, brighter than any of those Christmas trees we just saw on the tour. Karen is great host and she really knows how to cook it up and makes you feel right at home! The Eufaula Suite was amazing Fireplace, Balcony, Huge luxurious spa-like Bathroom with the claw-foot tub, four poster bed and in the morning our room was over the kitchen so you could smell the yummy goodness, waking up to that put childhood memories of spending nights at my grandparents house in my head. The Breakfast was delicious and kept us full until dinner! Eufaula has The Pilgrimage of Homes in the Spring and this is definitely the...
Read moreWe just spent 3 nights with Peter and Michelle at the spectacular Eufaula House. Ron and I were there to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. I have to say it was one of the most relaxing get aways we have ever done. The Eufaula Suite is stunning with lovely antiques, a beautiful claw foot tub, gas fireplace and private deck. Hope we can go again. The city of Eufaula is such a gem! Great history and I have never seen so many beautiful historic homes and crape myrtles in bloom. Peter and Michelle are wonderful hosts and really know the area shops and restaurants. Each morning we had a lovely and delicious breakfast before heading out for our day's adventure. When you go be sure to check out The Shorter Mansion and Fendall Hall-both are open for tours. They also have an annual Pilgrimage in April where you can visit many homes. The Chamber of Commerce Building is also a wealth of history. The building was the train depot and has its own museum-a...
Read moreWe needed some relaxation time and we found the Eufaula House during our searches and we were not disappointed. Karen is a great hostess and from the start we given a small tour of our area. We started in the carriage house and we really enjoyed being there. It is roomy and has all the necessities needed. As for the breakfasts, Karen serves a different dish every morning from 8-9 AM and you don't want to miss them! Overall Eufaula is a small town and is fairly quiet, which is what you want for relaxing. We can't say enough what a beautiful house and the area. Karen was very accommodating by providing things we requested and easily added an additional day longer to our reservation when set asked. We also appreciated the visits by the neighborhood cat that will greet you and want to be petted. We will definitely return for another stay, but this time we will stay in one of the rooms in the house....
