Such a fun experience! We've been to water parks before, but perhaps because this was with friends, my kids (8 & 11) said this was their favorite ever. (Or perhaps because there were no rules, lol.) Highly recommend. $10 per person per hour, so not cheap for a big family or something we'll do regularly, but totally worth a visit. The line was pretty long on a Friday around 11:30 in early June (probably 40 people waiting in line?), but it moves fairly quickly, and again, if kids are waiting with friends, it's not too agonizing to wait.
There are half a dozen picnic tables and places to hang out, a bathroom with changing area but no shower. There's a refreshment stand with the basics, but they didn't turn the grill on this year, so they have hot dogs, nachos, and sweet treats only. They are fine with folks bringing in...
Read moreThis water slide has been here since before the 1980s and then new ownership took over in the early 80s. I've been going to this slide for over 30 years and it's always been a great time! They have a great snack bar and awesome ice cream cones and shaved ice. If you have little ones and you're driving home from the lake it's great because then you can tire them out for the trip home. I recommend going to this place every time you come to the lake or if a local. It's also close to Roaring River trout hatchery and is a great side adventure along with the water slide. The management is professional, super friendly and awesome!! This place will never let you down, great time, great food, great viewing area and the quality of the slide is superior!! We love it and I hope you love it too!...
Read moreThis was our first time after hearing about this place for a couple of years. I can totally see why this is an "ozark" tradition. Old fashioned fun. Worth at least a trip each season. We went on a Monday and felt the crowd was moderate but the line moved quickly. They have a snack bar but they only take cash for all payments. No cards! It was $12 per person per hour. Not bad for the hour but a little pricey to stay for a significant amount of time. The plus is that Roaring River state park is 2 mins away so we stopped there for lunch. There was a problem with kids standing, running, and hiding in the turns of the slide which caused us to run into one of them. Very dangerous and could use a little more oversight for offenders. Just follow the rules and you'll have...
