Leonard Leota Park — Attraction in Evansville

Festivities all weekend to celebrate Independence Day, but the fireworks display is the best in the area in my opinion. This park is out of the way for us, but I always bring my kids to the display here no matter what! The park does get quite crowded during events, so make sure to arrive early and remember where you park. There isn't much in the way of play equipment, but a lot of space for kids to run around and use their imagination while playing...

Lake Leota Park is a charming spot in Evansville, perfect for a peaceful walk, picnic, or fishing by the lake. The scenic views, historic bridge, and well-maintained trails make it a great escape. Evansville is very lucky to have a park like this! There are many different things to do. Enjoy baseball and softball games in the summer, and ice skating on the lake in the winter. There are also tennis courts and basketball courts. The lake is also a great place to fish or go boating! The pool usually opens around Memorial day and offers Swim team and lessons throughout the summer as well as free swims! Awesome...
