Emerald Lake — Attraction in Exeter

This hike definitely will tire you out. But this lake is so beautiful. I went today and the water felt great would have stayed all day but didn't have a permit to camp close by. This hike even though difficult is well worth it . Approximately 5.2 miles to the lake from parking lot so about 10.4 miles total . Definitely get started early .morning fills so good and parking lot fills up. I recommend at least 4 liters of water maybe more for this hike I was not to sure if emerald Lake water is safe to just filter and drink maybe if someone knows let me know.Bring a long sleeve i wore one didnt get bit at all.Heather lake which is the first lake you come across is also a nice place to stop and swim and if you don't make it to emerald Lake this lake fills just as good and is...
