Long Branch Stream Valley Park — Attraction in Fairfax

We couldn't even find the entrance to this park, and not even the locals could explain clearly how to get on the actual trail, and we eventually had to abandon the idea and walk elsewhere. Horrible management by Fairfax County, couldn't put a couple of clear signs showing the entrance(s) or how to descend to the trail from the bridge? They sure as heck know how to put signs for parking violations and limitations....

A park of tranquility and nature beauty. The gorgeous long-span bridge over the creek is a picturesque centerpiece of the park. The north end of the foot bridge is Pickett Road and the south end is at the intersection of Pickett Road and Twinbrook Road. Beautiful park full of native Virginia native plants in most section. Lush ferns, mayapples, and swamp lettuce in some sections, black berry ticket in others.
