My classmates and I went on a field trip to IL Fiorello olive oil in Fairfield CA. At first we were excited to tour their land and to see what they do. Ann Sievers, the owner of IL Fiorello Olive Oil and our tour guide, had a horrible attitude and was condescending when talking to us. Her overall behavior towards us was rude. Not only was she rude and condescending when asking her questions out of curiosity, but she was rude multiple times to one of my fellow classmates to the point where he didnât engage because he felt defeated. This made the tour and oil tasting experience unpleasant and awkward. My teacher engaging in a culinary arts conversation was rudely spoken in front of everyone by Ann Sievers. As an owner I feel like you should be welcoming and polite to your guests, wanting them to enjoy their time and want to come back. It was ironic that Ann Sievers was talking about composure and how to present yourself in situations is so important yet she treated me, my classmates, and my teacher awful. The overall experience was horrible and definitely never going back.
Not only do I expect an apology on how we were treated poorly but my teacher should definitely get an apology on how she was treated so disrespectfully.

Read moreEvery time my girlfriend and I go here, we say it's the last time we're going here. This time we mean it. We try to give them our business, but they find every excuse to not serve us, or keep in place rules that make it so hard just to purchase something. First time, my girlfriend wanted to take some back to her home in OH, the guy made every excuse that they were closing and didn't have time for her, and said to just order online. What better way to get the word out about Fairfield olive oil? Second time we just wanted to buy olive oil from the gift shop, a week after the Governor lifted his decree for masks, the hostess told us we could not go in as there was only allowed two in the gift shop at a time. We waited about five seconds before we left, once again, not able to take local olive oil to another state and spread the word. I just ordered 17 oz of Spanish EVOO from Walmart, for $3.94. No muss, no fuss. Even just going in to order a beer and sit out back on the grounds is a process. Conversation with anyone is really a process, try it, you'll see what I mean. My Rancho friends have had the same experience here, and most of are the same opinion. During any get togethers I ask them, and most often the response is the same. Definitely two...

We were able to make a reservation with ease through the website and came back for our tasting at 3. This experience was so positive and informative, I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone in the area or outside of it. David was our guide through the total body experience that was olive oil and totally made it a casual and fun tasting but everyone walked out feeling like their eyes were open to a whole new world. On humor alone, David is a storyteller and made our trip. I had zero knowledge on the subject and no expectations for this but I was blown away. I have left the property wondering what I should put oil on, what Iâve been doing in my life prior to this. Do not get me started on the balsamic vinegar, because I will ramble on further in ways that none of us have time for. Did I know that balsamic vinegar on gelato was a thing? Absolutely not, but did I realize that it is my jam and immediately purchase another one? Yes I did. Did I think I wanted another one? Admittedly, yes.
In summation, this was such a blast and I cannot wait to go to...
