[AD] Don’t miss these spots: Eat: Fishback and Stephenson Cider House- a beautiful cidery with delicious burgers Sweet n’ Saucy BBQ- BBQ, need I say more? Bountiful Bakery- A yummy bakery in a cute house The BakeHouse- Tacos and waffles are two of my favorite foods! Everybody Whole Foods- Grocery shop and get your soft serve ice cream from the local dairy Play: O B Nelson Park- my kids were obsessed with this castle-themed playground! Maasdam Barns- a cute old farm with horses and farm animals Carnegie Historical Museum- one of the few Carnegie Libraries this side of the Mississippi, it is now a museum Jefferson Park Nature Center- Make an appointment for a hands-on tour with a naturalist and explore the nearby trails and suspension bridge Farmers Market- let the kids play at the playground while you stock up on delicious local food See: Golden Domes of Pure Knowledge- these two large golden-domed buildings on the Maharishi International University campus are for meditation The only two Vedic Observatories in the world are in Fairfield- This ancient calendar system has been recreated in Vedic City and on the MIU campus Have you heard of Fairfield? Great park for kids, public dog park, baseball fields, basketball court with a accessible light pole for night time and a skate park to enjoy all in one. The new castle park is unfortunately smaller, BUT it has a lot unique activties around the park for kids to learn and play. Sign language teachings, United State maps, among other things to enjoy.

I'm not quite sure how much there is to say about a park. O.B. Nelson is probably the finest park in Fairfield. You have your choice of playing on the large wood playset, the smaller metal playground just a short walk away, playing some baseball or softball on the diamonds, or shredding in the bowl that was built in 2014. The park does offer a restroom that seems to be open when it pleases, so be sure to bring a bottle...

Why oh why in the world would they tear down a perfectly good wood playground?!

The plastic replacement is small, horribly designed and looks like something you would find in any dead beat town.

I (and my close friends) are super disappointed. The dog park is still cool, and the area is remote enough to catch a break if you really need some alone time.

Otherwise no, sad, confused and let down by another poor...
