This is a beautiful beach with several caveats. The views are gorgeous, the parking lot is spacious and a nice barbecue restaurant is open in the summer and weekends from Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Its kept clean in the summer. And has attentive lifeguards. The town no longer closes the gates at night leading to drug dealing, drunkenness and discarded trash. Be careful with your kids crossing the street here as many don't stop for walkers in the crosswalk and the police have little interest in policing here despite several requests. It's hard not to like the beach I can walk to, especially with the beautiful views, large expanses of sand, and well-rounded facilities. They have an outdoor wash station, bathrooms, a snack/lunch shack that serves hot food and ice cream, multiple life guards during peak times, plenty of trash receptacles.

These beaches are beautiful, well maintained, and have plenty of free parking! Beaches along this strip are rather Rocky, pebbly, so sandals are highly recommended. Public restroom is clean, conveniently located. Lifeguard on duty during the days.
