I'll start with the positive...the 2 young girls that were there to help setup my party were great. Polite and helpful. Now for the negatives...We 1st visited about 3 weeks. I had looked through pics etc. before driving 45 minutes to visit. We get there early afternoon (just after lunch) and we live in Texas and I know it is HOT, hence why I chose indoor activities. We check in and pay in full for a birthday party to take place on 8/5. We've been there for an hour or so and my kids are red in the face and sweating and then I realize "yea it is quite hot in here." i happen to see the thermostat near the bathroom and the temp is reading 80. At this point I'm rethinking my decision to have the party there. I come home and email, I did get a timely and courteous response. I express my concerns about the temperature and the possibility of the AC unit running less than optimal. My husband and I own a local HVAC company and offered to exchange services to even ensure our party would be comfortable for us and our guest. We gave tips over the email, as well, to help try to beat some of the Texas heat. We were aware that the building is old and not insulated very well either, but fine, lets work with what we do have. After responding to my email they made us aware they had an HVAC company they were faithful to and that the tips we gave helped tremendously and that they didn't normally give refunds. So I check in once again the day before my party since we were experiencing record temps. (ugh) Crystal responds to my text and says yes the units are holding up ok. She says its hard to keep it cool as well because people are coming in and out of the doors as well. Well Saturdays are not open to the public, its party day only and we were the 1st party scheduled at 1230 so I let her know we would not be going in and out of the doors. There's no need for it. So we get there and its HOT. Too hot. I'm not happy. I feel like they have been less than honest. My $600 was worth being dishonest. (grr) My husband immediately goes over to the thermostat and it reads "low battery" on the screen meaning its not even communicating with the unit and its 80 in the building. He asks for batteries and gets those in and I can feel a little cool air start to blow but the 2nd unit is not running (not operable) at all and by the time we leave its 83 and all of our guest are visibly sweating as well as the kids. Lastly, our party ended at 230 and we are being told we need to hurry up because the other party is here and ready to come in. I was told, as well, I could come 30 minutes early to setup. So, this needs to be changed as well. You cannot tell someone to come 30 minutes early to setup and intrude on my reserved time to setup for their party. My reservation was not over and your rude stares were not needed. We were cleaned up and out at 230 when our reservation ended. Overall its not a $500 value, for sure. The girls helped me set up in 15/20 minutes and then sat behind a barrier on their phones until clean up time. I've paid half the price for 3 times the facility size and had a private room with an attendant that cut cake, decorated the private room, collected presents at the door, served food and drinks and then helped clean up. And the biggest concern is the dishonesty that took place. very sad coming...

E-kids has become our go-to spot to beat the Texas heat and inclement weather while providing a fun and safe environment for our kids aged 2-10.
Being affiliated with Encounter Church and allowing admittance by donation is truly remarkable, making it accessible to everyone.
We recently had our daughter's 6th birthday party there, and it was a breeze. We booked the 10:30 - 12:30 slot, arrived 30 minutes early, and the staff was incredibly helpful in setting up and cleaning up afterward.
My daughter wanted a Frozen party and was able to have the soundtrack playing on the sound system while all of our guests enjoyed the party. We never felt rushed and the 2hours booked was plenty of time to do all the birthday activities , playing , visiting, Cake , and presents 🎉🎂🎁
We had an amazing experience and we will definitely be booking another party soon.
E-kids has become a special place for our family, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic indoor...
Read moreBetter than Play Street Museum! By far... They have many interesting things for the kiddos to play with. Folks are super friendly and do more besides pick up toys. They'll actually engage with the kids from time to time. There's complimentary coffee and free wi-fi which other places definitely do not have! Including little picnic tables for kids to enjoy their lunch. Very clean. The bathrooms are highly thoughtful for your little ones which included a potty seat, clean changing table, and automatic trash can. It's the little things! I highly recommend this place. I haven't found a place as good as this in the area. Great place for your kids to play on an indoor playground, for pretend play or as simple as playing with legos or dress-up. Also very good for boys too!...
