Summerfield at Tate Farms — Attraction in Fate

A friend told us about the Pie Festival starting at 10. We bought tickets online, went at noon and almost all the pies throughout the event were sold out. Some of the vendors said they had sold more than 400 pies before we arrived. Another. Pie vendor told us she was cutting up full pies to sell by the slice. There were no full pies for sale at any vendor (although there were a coupe of vendors with 4 and 5” pies and one vendor with 6” pies); otherwise they were out. We walked up and down every aisle asking. Another vendor told us she was sold out of her hand pies but her associates were driving in. Ore for arrival at 1:30 p.m. We were surprised that there weren’t more bakeries represented. There is a bakery nearby that didn’t know anything about the event. It would have been nice to see the local bakeries represented. Unfortunately, the lines for the regular food were exceedingly long, so we didn’t get lunch either. We were so disappointed. The $40 we spent on tickets will end up being a donation to the Farm which is okay, but I hope they include more vendors next year to serve the crowds that attend. I can’t recall posting a negative review for any event in the past here or anywhere but felt this one was warranted. Maybe next year will be better knowing how many people showed...

Came to this place for my wedding day & communicate with the lady prior that my WHOLE WEDDING PARTY was going to come take pictures here. She yelled at me (the bride) & told me to get off her property because I didn't let her know that the whole wedding party was going to be there which was not true because we spoke on the phone and I told her everyone was going to there & she said no only the bride and groom. She constantly rushed me off the phone as well and just said I got you down for the date you can just come. Sent me the invoice a week before the wedding and never let me know when the card was ran. This was a disaster of a place to do business with. My daughter planned her dream come true wedding here only to have it cancelled for they double booked the same day. They only let her know two months before the wedding day. They have no idea the emotional upset this caused my daughter and her family for their mistake. The cost and headache of trying to find another venue was unbearable. No bride should ever have to go through what my daughter went through .They offered no compensation for their mistake. My advice, steer clear of this venue. I would not give them one star but you have to...
