Great little shop across the road from the North Rim Visitor Center, the have tons of souvenirs and even a small ice cream and treat shop. We did not go in the treat shop, but did see several visitors go in and make purchases and get ice cream, and the boy scouts that came out that I overheard talking about it where being very favorable about the flavors and tastes. Souvenir shop was bountiful in the options and choices from local made to general massed produced items. We purchased several shirts and other small items, including a piece of carved coal to look like a black bear. Again a lot of options. Upon check out we encountered an issue, we paid some cash and then rest card and it messed up the cash register system and we had to start over, well the second time the total for same items was $20.xx higher and we pointed that out, and as the poor clerk worked to try to figure it out it was getting annoying for us and frustrating for her. So after over 20 minutes, in all now, the clerk was able to give usxa discount for the inconvenience and we where able to purchase everything for $20.00 less than the original total. Great Customer Service recovery and I wish I had gotten the clerks name but I did not, thank you to...

I waited at the counter for at least 5 minutes or more before the cashier came to the counter to help me. The longer I waited, I began putting stuff back. She rang up my small gift which was $3 and I handed her my card and the cashier said “you don’t have cash?” I did not and told her I only had my card and she gave me a big sigh. I told her I could take my business elsewhere as I was only buying a gag gift. “No it’s fine” and ran my card anyways. No need to be so rude, but after she found out I was a local, her whole demeanor changed. I will...
