This is my favorite place to go. It's beautiful out here. Good vibes always and nobody causes any trouble. The wind blows over the water to cool you off on a sunny day in the summer āļø and in the fall and winter the scenery is beautiful. You will see cool wildlife out here too if you are patient. I watched a blue heron for several minutes the other day hunting small fish and it was dope. There are great walking and biking trails connecting it to several other places AND a couple different playgrounds and art to check out. Also there are several bathrooms that are well maintained. And you can rent a boat or go fishing! I love you lake...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCertainly the best lake trails in the area. Nothing like running the paved 5.45 mile loop around Lake Fayetteville in the cool morning on a spring or fall day. The sunrise here is always remarkable. The bike riding loop here, closer to 7 miles and mostly dirt trails, is also very nice. Bathrooms are available at Veterans Park and water is also available there and just south of the botanical gardens. Can get pretty busy on the weekends and evenings, but still very nice. Honestly, I havenāt seen very much nature, in terms of animals, here. Somewhat surprising given I get deer in my yard, but I guess there is just enough traffic to keep them...
