Nice place, free parking, secluded, and you can walk beautiful trails up to the look out over North Shore Beach then walk down to North Shore without having to pay to park. The trails are clear and easy to follow. Depending on time of the year, I'd recommend bug spray to guard against ticks amongst others (like gnats and mosquitos). Read moreFirst time at this dog park. It was ok but I found that a lot of dog owners had not picked up after their dogs, which is not really the park's fault. Just because it is winter does not mean you don't pick up after your dog. There were also a lot of loose balls that had been left there. I did not want my dogs playing with a ball that I did not know where it came from so we left and went to the state park...

They also have basketball courts, a sledding hill and paved trail loop through the woods. Great starting point for North Ottawa Dune trails.
