Greenbo Lake — Attraction in Flatwoods

Good place to kayak and enjoy the peace and quiet. The lake has a no wake and an idle speed only motor restriction but some people do not know what this means. It does NOT mean just go slow(er). Also the water it gin clear and you can easily see the bottom in 25 feet of depth. This makes for some interesting vertigo experiences on a boat or kayak, and sometimes even an alarming experience as you pass over and suddenly notice what looks like a "giant seamonster" when you see fallen trees below the surface lit up from the sunlight above. But it ultimately means the fishing is very hard, even though you can also see large catfish and bass that frustratingly...

Greenbo is a great little lake to take the family for kayaking or picnic.

The staff at the Marina are very friendly. Pontoon boat rentals are cheap.

You can see deer around the lake and be careful driving in or you may hit...

Great kayaking but a small lake which makes it great to start out your kayaking adventures and much more to do hiking, camping , fishing, public pool, picnic areas and the lodge/ anglers cove one can enjoy the day at one place...
