This is an awesome place!! Though if you are not going in the water, I highly recommend wearing jeans. There were lots of high speed sand winds that hit my skin painfully, while wearing shorts. Also, in the second picture, you can see the sandy winds! On the other hand, I do think this is a great place to visit!!!

Love Love Love Every bit of Florence Oregon! If your looking for a GREAT adventure. Florence has it all. Food, beaches, crabbing, fishing and even a charming downtown with quite a few Mom & Pop bars and restaurants with Dancing & Life Music. Traveled from Maine to Oregon. Florence is the bomb! Awesome

Easy walk down to the beach. We had a great time, take a jacket, it's very windy. I think we saw washed up jelly fish, lots of little crab too.

Just a little parking lot next to a hotel with an unfinished trail to the beach. A long stretch of deep dry sand to walk through before you reach the wet sand where it's easier to walk. Nice long beach to walk on, and plenty of space to build sand castles. Nice driftwood to sit on and take your shoes off....
