We stumbled upon Bing’s Landing by pure chance while driving through the area, and I’m so glad we decided to stop! This hidden gem is packed with history, natural beauty, and a relaxing atmosphere.

The park sits right along the Intracoastal Waterway, offering stunning water views, shaded picnic areas, and a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle. But what really blew us away was the rich history—Bing’s Landing is home to the remains of a 1790s plantation, complete with an archaeological dig site where you can see the foundation of the original structures. The educational signs around the park provide fascinating insights into the area's past.

Beyond the history, the park is perfect for fishing, boating, and just soaking in the scenery. There's even a boat launch and a fantastic BBQ spot (Captain’s BBQ) right on-site. Whether you're looking for a quick stop or a relaxing afternoon, Bing’s Landing is definitely worth the visit. A must-see for history lovers and nature enthusiasts...

Stopped in Captain's BBQ...was not disappointed. Met the Capt himself..great guy! Staff was very helpful to us first time visitors. I did a sampler of brisket and pulled pork. Side of greens and Mac n cheese( I know diet plate). Also tried a few other items from others in our party..smoked kielbasa, corn muffins, Cuban sandwich and ribs. Pulled pork was probably the best O have had..nice smoked very juicy great flavor. Brisket..really really good. Again nice smoke, tender very good flavor. Greens were solid..now I like em a bit tangy so added some vinegar but very good. Mac n cheese was superb...just wanted more! Cuban was very good..easily rivaled some I have had in South FLA. Ribs tender, juicy..looked like a dry rub that was a bit ro yhe sweet side but also had some nice mid level heat. A definite try if you stop in. Everything you want in a BBQ joint..great people, great food and a unpretentious setting to...

We ate today at Captain's BBQ. My niece ordered the pork tacos and she said they were good. My husband and I got the smoked brisket. We were both disappointed. The meat was very dry. My niece mentioned that the meat was dry because the brisket was smoked. My husband had a salad with his meat. The dressing helped his meal. I only had the meat since I am dairy n gluten-free.There weren't many side options for me. I don't like sauce smothering my meat, but I was hoping it would have been juicy. A customer told us to get an order of burnt ends. I was glad I did. They were delicious. Someone came up to us a couple of times and asked us how everything was. I should have shared my thoughts. We drove forty minutes to get there in the rain. If I was ever in the area, I would stop by to get the burnt ends. For the most part I can't see myself taking that long...

Bings Landing is a very nice place to go and picnic and enjoy the scenery near the water. If you don't feel like making food, the captain's BBQ is right on the landing. Bings landing has a fish launch and a multitude of docks and walkways for people to enjoy. There is plenty of car truck boat parking. It does get crowded once in a while, usually on Saturdays and Sundays during good weather. There is a picnic pavilion and barbecues everywhere. My visit there on Saturday. I was kind of surprised on a warm Saturday that there were very few people using the picnic tables and barbecues. Bing's landing is part of the mala compra plantation historical site. Bings landing was the site of occupying troops and flying bullets in 1836 during the Seminoles war.

Had an amazing day at Bing’s Landing with my family! The park’s gorgeous views of the Intracoastal Waterway, shaded by massive oaks, were breathtaking. We enjoyed the short trails, perfect for kids, and loved spotting dolphins from the fishing pier. The picnic pavilions and grills were ideal for our lunch, and the playground kept the kids entertained. We also explored the historic Mala Compra Plantation site, which added a cool historical vibe. Clean facilities and a peaceful atmosphere made it a perfect outing. Can’t wait to return for kayaking!

Great for a homeschool field trip! Archeological dig site is well labelled and very interesting. The small playground is fun for younger kids. Restrooms are well lit and clean too. There's a few nice fishing docks with pole holders and a counter and water to clean fish. We got lucky and saw a mama and baby manatee in the boat launch and dolphins in the intracoastal the last time we went. There's also a covered pavilion that's nice for casual parties.
