I like the park. The boat ramp is really nice and clean. The park is clean and spacious. I do like the fishing area especially. It's a wooden deck that runs almost the entire length of the water front. Each time I've been there I had no problem finding a spot to fish. It doesn't seem to get packed with people fishing. Now as for the boat ramp. The entire parking lot on the weekends typically is so packed that people that have launched are left parking down the road beyond the entrance or on the other side of the ramp. You will not find a parking spot unless you get there early. There is also still the construction going in but it's very minimal and you don't have that to deal with on the weekend anyway. They have bathrooms also so that makes things easier also.

It's a pretty dirty park. Fishing is okay, but expect to lose a lot of tackle getting snagged constantly. Despite having three signs "PARKING FOR PAVILION USE ONLY", The boat people park there on the weekends and take up the pavilion parking. The staff is rude and the mowing people plow through the dirt not caring who or what they hit with dirt, sticks, and rocks..

The boat people also filthy up the restrooms.. They're at least semi- clean during the week. The folks that hang out there on a regular basis are really nice, even though the director, Tim Baylie is not. He treats the regulars badly.. There is no place to charge your phone because they turned off the power at the pavilion. The restrooms are locked up at 7:00 and there's no lighting.. They took out the Porta potties, so if you're boating or fishing after dark, you'll have to find a tree..

We used to go there from Silver Springs to fish and cook up some food, but since they turned off the power, we can't plug anything in. We...

The park is beautiful and very well kept. It has six boat ramps open at all times. The park does fill up pretty fast from what I saw on my visit there. I do suggest you get there early because the line to launch you craft does get long. It does have a calm water spot to gather your group before heading out into open water. Everyone is friendly and helpful. I do suggest you get your craft ready while you're in line so when you're time to launch comes that you're not holding other's up because you didn't prepare your boat or other water craft. There's plenty of trailer parking. It's an easy in and out process.. i do recommend this park...
