El Retiro — Attraction in Florida

If you love architecture and craftsmanship details, you will really enjoy this essentially self guided tour. This home on the grounds of Bok Tower Gardens shows what it would have been like to live here as a wealthy person in the 1930s. There are docents in different rooms who will offer tidbits of info and answer questions, but you are free to take as much time as you want in each room. Verbally harranged and talked down to by senior female tour guide. Me and my partner missed the kitchen and didn't know we weren't allowed to backtrap. She would not listen to our confusion and just said she never saw us there before. I am a duo member too. Instead she told us to leave. We said okay that's fine. The proceeded back towards the exit. She then arranged us again stating no come some other way that was roped off.

This place was absolutely amazing extremely beautiful really takes you back in time. I love the architectural design. You can tell this was designed back before AC's were made because the window and door layouts are definitely set up for cross breezes.
