A very nice, very low traffic walking trail right in the heart of North Fort Myers. The main trail is about 0.8 miles with a hard pack surface fairly well maintained. The trail winds among several man-made filtration ponds used to help clean a nearby creek. There is little shade and usually very little wildlife, although on one occasion there were over fifty birds gathered in the pond furthest from the trailhead.
If you leave the parking area and walk in a clockwise direction, about a third of the way around the path is the entrance to a second, shorter trail. This second trail is opens to some additional ponds. The trail is also an easy walk along a mowed grassy path.

I just moved to Fort Myers a month ago and this Preserve is right down the road from me it's a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery at. I know there are Alligators out here but I have yet to see even one does anybody know when the best month's or time's to see them are? Also wondering how many are here and what size are they? Any other good wildlife worth checking out...
