Its a nice place to walk so I took my dogs for a walk but I passed a guy walking the trail and he said their wasn't allowed no dog's. And when I walked back out and there was a sign that said no dogs. Was new to the area so I didn't know but when I was walking in there was a cop sitting there I walked right passed him and he never said anything. Weird.

Beautiful peaceful varied trail around bodies of water. Dogs not allowed. Tons of birds, wildlife (we saw squirrels, bunnies, tortoises etc.) different options to extend length of hike. Great parking, clear, well maintained paths. Will definitely make this a repeat hike!

Lots of free parking. Beautiful water views and a gravel 1 mile loop around. Access to a second loop that is natural if you wanted to add another .7 miles to the hike. Early morning in early October and didn’t need bug spray! No garbage cans on-site.

A very nice, very low traffic walking trail right in the heart of North Fort Myers. The main trail is about 0.8 miles with a hard pack surface fairly well maintained. The trail winds among several man-made filtration ponds used to help clean a nearby creek. There is little shade and usually very little wildlife, although on one occasion there were over fifty birds gathered in the pond furthest from the trailhead.

If you leave the parking area and walk in a clockwise direction, about a third of the way around the path is the entrance to a second, shorter trail. This second trail is opens to some additional ponds. The trail is also an easy walk along a mowed grassy path.

The parking area is paved and plenty of space. At the trailhead is an information bulletin board and map. There is no shelter and no restrooms. No pets are allowed. The preserve is a very nice, convenient place for a...

Powell Creek Preserve is awesome I love it it's so relaxing and peaceful. I just moved to Fort Myers a month ago and this Preserve is right down the road from me it's a great place to relax and enjoy the scenery at. I know there are Alligators out here but I have yet to see even one does anybody know when the best month's or time's to see them are? Also wondering how many are here and what size are they? Any other good wildlife worth checking out...
