Shingle Creek Regional Park - Babb landing — Attraction in Florida

I was not impressed with this park , it probably is good for bicyclist, but they don’t rent bikes anymore so I ended up just walking the trail. But unlike the trails on the other side of the park where they have the kayak launch these trails are not shaded by trees at all, so you’re subjected to the Florida sun. The trails are also manicured and mowed on the sides. They cut down the trees. So you don’t feel like you’re out in nature at all They are wide open and run along apartment complexes and new construction and power poles. There’s also a regional airport nearby so every five minutes you have small aircraft and jets landing and taking off it’s quite noisy. If you’re into plane spotting, you might enjoy it. Big sign says dogs must be leased but some people think they are to special for the rules. Few months ago I was here and a woman had two Jack Russell looking dogs here without leases. The dogs cashed rabbit with no intervention from her. They also ran up to other peoples dogs. Today another lady with the same dog or doppelgangers of the dogs, also letting them be unruly. She kept screaming at them, and at one point picked one up. When she stopped to take some photos she completely lost track of the dogs and one wonder off far from her. A pioneer village that is on display takes you back in time . When this village is complete it will be a wonderful learning experience for the whole family. In a quiet out of the way location in Kissimmee.Fl this village houses a blacksmith, pioneer homes and many other buildings from early settlers. It has a quite walking trail and it is great for photographers to capture some images from the past.
