Ulumay Sanctuary Hiking Trail — Attraction in Florida

Is so peaceful except sometimes one can hear small planes. I only took the left path, 2.6 round but I saw a baby Heron , an Osprey, 2 bunnies and 2 Sandhill Cranes.

A place to be alone with your thoughts or your out of tune singing! Nobody there. I got passed by one bike that never came back.

A pier overlooking both sides of the river provided some glam view of shoreline mansions and a lovely breeze in sync with the current's flow. Will return and likely with my bike.

Short, flat trail to an elevated observation platform. Fishing pier. this is a nice place if you’re in the area, but I hesitate to call it a hiking trail. it’s a single vehicle unpaved road on top of an earthen dike bordering a mosquito control impoundment area. There are definitely cool things to see but it’s not a nice shady forested hike. recommend staying away during the heat of the day unless it’s a nice cool fall...
