Parking was easy In and easy out. The parking lot was directly off A1A and it had enough room to park my van and unload with 2 kids safely while still having plenty of room for the other incoming/outgoing vehicles to drive by. The restrooms were easily accessible however I did not need to use them so I am unsure of the conditions inside them. The stairs we used had a ramp up but did not have a ramp down so we couldn't use a wagon or wheelchair to get onto the beach however there was more than one point of access so there may have been one on one of the other ones. The beach was beautiful and not crowded at all. We did go on a Wednesday though so the weekend may be different crowd wise. We took our dog with us and this was his first trip to a beach and he loved it!! I highly recommend this location for families with kids and pets!! Great day and great...

Great park. Showers, bathrooms, and water fountains available. Short walkway to beach. Only downside is the steep dip of the beach, down to the water. Low tide is best at this location. As high tide begins to come in, the waves get pretty decent in size(some surf worthy). This makes it more challenging if you have small children, like me! I stood in front of her while she played almost knee deep in the water. The steepness, added to the very strong out current, made me very nervous. Made her a bit nervous, too. Park wise(pros) - location is great! Clean facilities! Good parking and beach access! Beach wise(pros) - great for fishing. Great for older kids and adults. Great for possibly surfing. Not crowded. Beach wise(CONS) - Not a Sage place for small children who can't swim, and younger children who aren't good at swimming, fully...

This park is excellent for those that search for low population public areas. Between St Augustine and Daytona, an extra 20-30 minutes drive or so and a $2 toll to cross the bridge, this comparatively quiet place is perfect for a beautiful day out. Bathrooms are clean enough, the walkway is sturdy and safe feeling, and parking is plentiful. Dogs and BBQs are apparently okay, judging by today's festivities.

Two negatives; there is no ramp, so no handicap access and be prepared to carry your coolers and carts down the stairs, and because of the beaches angle you will need to watch small children carefully, as the waves tend to knock them off their feet more easily and the rips...

This beach park is also a trailhead for the Flagler Beach to Marineland trail. It's about at the halfway point of the trail. It's got restrooms, showers and a steep staircase beach access. The sand here is coarse and filled with broken shells. Also no picnic tables, just a small bench. I rode north to Marineland from here, which is the nicer part of this trail with some sections completely buffered from A1A and considerable shade if you go in the morning. The section going south to the Flagler/Volusia county line has no shade, and some parts are not up to trail standards (only a 4 foot sidewalk when you get to downtown Flagler Beach) so plan accordingly.
