Man who works here (not sure what he does, he was sweeping the ground outside) was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He allowed us to walk around the gardens as everything was just opening. (We’d asked if anywhere near had a public bathroom. He said one street over.) We walk around the pretty gardens and noticed there was an open bathroom here. One member of our party went inside the bathroom. He YELLED over from the road “it’s not a public bathroom” - but another member of our party was going inside the shop (and yes, BOUGHT something, being a CUSTOMER) and asked the (very kind) woman who worked in the shop about the tours. Other party finished in the bathroom and this man yelled again something incoherently, surely it was not positive about this clearly life or death bathroom situation. Relax, we aren’t trashing the bathroom. So we start to leave and we apologize to him saying “sorry we thought since we were going in and buying something we could use the restroom” (only ONE person used this gosh darn bathroom btw) and he grumbled “you’re supposed to buy something first!” Ok uhhh….sorry the PROCESS was out of order for you, was this really that huge of a deal? I get retail and dealing with the public is irritating but we clearly were not those kinds of people. He needs to get his panties out of his buttcrack. And just for that we surely will not be touring the facility.
