Very interesting house. Filled with many period pieces. Loved that they offer a choice of an in-person docent tour or recorded tour. We really enjoyed learning about the house and its inhabitants and contents from Julia and Hannah. Make sure you check out the items in their gift shop, especially the books. BONUS: If you continue walking south along Aviles for a block or so, you will come upon the Father Miguel OReilly house which is closed currently due to Covid concerns (it is run by the Sisters of St. Joseph, I think). Turn right on the next street and just outside the school playground on your left is one of the most interesting trees in the area, a live oak with a palm growing right up through the middle of it.

If you have ever wanted to step back in time Saint Augustine is the place to do it, and the Ximenez-Fatio house is one of the very best places to get a real sense of how the times were back then. We took the audio guide tour and loved walking through all the rooms at our (myself, 70 year old mother and 7 year old daughter) own pace. Note that there is no AC in the house, they do have fans set up and the breezes made it tolerable. I learned so much and really enjoyed the experience. They also had a fun "scavenger" hunt for my daughter which kept her engaged, and a wonderful selection of prizes to choose from at the end.

Very unique experience. We went to this place as early as it opened and were the only 2 visitors there at the time, so we really took our time to see everything and to hear the explanations about each and every room. It was really interesting and unique to be at a place where people used to live and visit so long ago. The staff were super nice, there is a cute little gift shop and very clean restrooms. It was about 12$ per person (no discount for students unfortunately) but I think it was totally worth it.

Our guide was the very cute little fella at the front desk! He was 24 and absolutely adorable! The beautiful restored bording house is home to many significant artifacts and historic collections. A wonderful mark of what women can do! This shows exactly how a woman could work behind the scenes and create a marvel! The tour guide was informative and entertaining! Did I mention that he was very handsome and so very sweet! ^-^ Thanks for the courtesy and kindness!

What a wonderful museum. This is also a very elegant location for a small wedding ceremony. I loved the garden and I leaned a lot while talking to the caretakers. I touched the oldest fig tree that I have ever seen and I sat under an orange tree smelling orange blossoms for the first time in my life. It was a wonderful day and I look forward to visiting the museum again the next time that I am in town.

I spend a lot of time in St Augustine and was shamefully unaware if this hidden gem. Courtney, my tour guide was knowledgeable and funny. She picked up on what interested me and modified the tour to focus on what I found interesting, while still filling in the other gaps. She kept it interesting with fun comments and tidbits about the artifacts and space. Will definitely return!
