Based on the majority of reviews, I was so excited about this escape room. However, we had a horrible experience. We were in the room with a clue that said to touch 4 words on a picture. We were touching them and nothing happened, so the clue came up telling us to wiggle our fingers while we touched the words. Still nothing happened. The next thing we know, the lady comes in yelling at us threatening to kick us out and telling us that if we broke it, we’d pay for it. We were absolutely flabbergasted! We did what she said and got yelled at for it. After she left we were afraid to touch anything. A few minutes later some guy came in and touched the picture for us. He helped us for the next few minutes. He was nice and helpful, but the damage had already been done. I’ve done 25 other escape rooms (so I have seen the good and bad of escape rooms), and this one takes the cake as the worst because of the way we were treated. I understand that people have bad days, but you don’t take it out on your customers. We didn’t deserve to be treated that way. I absolutely LOVE doing escape rooms and had been counting down the hours all day until we got to do this one, so this was absolutely disheartening. This unfortunately put a damper on my trip and ruined my night. I’m definitely upset, but I’ll be praying for this woman to see the error of her ways and not treat anyone...
Read moreHave been reading past reviews and the great experience everyone had. Was not the case for our group of seven. The equipment was not working and we had to open the door several times to ask questions. The owner appeared to be by herself and then a friend came by with a dog to further distract her. So we have equipment not working and we are not being helped. We are almost finished with the last clue telling us to “throw me something mister”. There were moon pies and roses in the room which we tossed at the wall. Where were we supposed to throw them? The owner came screaming into the room for us to get out now! I am still confused as to what we were supposed to do. Apparently we were supposed to throw the beads, which we had put in glasses to give us our next clue. So they were in use. The owner said she was doing the best she could do. If that response was her best, she may want to rethink her job. A very bad experience. We have done other escape rooms and had a great time. Makes for an interesting...
Read moreGet A Clue Escape Rooms was an awesome experience. My group of friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
We played the Paranormal Experience and found it very engaging. We had 5 in our group and we're all engaged through out the 60 minute game. 3 of the 5 had never played a game before. 1 of 5 had only played once before.
During our briefing we found out this was one of the hardest rooms and thought we'd be in trouble, but immediately started finding clues to move the experience and team along. We were knocking out puzzles left and right.
Work as a team and swap puzzles if you get stuck.
The level of interaction and automation in this game is a level far above others in the industry. I've played a lot of Escape Room games and have not found one that was so original and fun. Instead of a series of lock boxes and word strips, Grt A Clues is a 10 out of 10 game.
This little GEM of a ER business should definitely...
