The Peach Cobbler Factory — Restaurant in Foley

With Peach Cobbler being in the name, I walked in expecting cobbler greatness. Think, angels singing, and grandma in the kitchen levels of cobbler. Instead, I got something more along the lines of, “Hey, this is fine… I guess.” It wasn’t bad, but definitely something I could’ve picked up from the bakery at my local grocery store.

I ordered the cobbler flight (which sounds way fancier than it is), $17 for four little cups that barely added up to a full serving. On the bright side, the scoop of ice cream it came with was actually really good. So... yay?

But lets talk ambiance, or the ghost of it. The interior is so stark and bright, I felt like I was either about to get a root canal or be interrogated. I ended up taking my cobbler home because eating it there felt a bit like dining in a Little Caesars lobby with IKEA furniture that gave up on life. My table was so wobbly I got mildly seasick just waiting for my order.

I’ve been two times now. The first time I got regular banana pudding and apple cobbler. The second time I got banana pudding with strawberry on top, blackberry cobbler, and a cinnamon roll with Nutella. I had high hopes both times and was let down. The Nilla wafers in the banana pudding taste like they’ve been sitting open in your pantry for a week. Not stale, but you can taste the air if that makes sense…. There are also no banana chucks, and the second banana pudding I got had no other semi-stale wafers other than the two on top. The cobblers were both mediocre, but they were at least still warm when ate. To top it all off, the prices are whack. I spent over $30 including a tip on 3 single serving desserts. This place could be way better with some improvements, as there are not many...

I came for the banana pudding and was hugely disappointed that there was not any bananas in it and it was $10 for a couple of cookies and some custard. The menu says it has layers of bananas but I did not get any at all. There is one thing we know in the south and that's good banana pudding and peach cobbler so if you plan to stay in Foley find some bananas for the "banana pudding" the peach cobbler saved the day it was as expected!!!!
