Dunes House — Attraction in Folly Beach

We were here in March 2021 and it was a BEAUTIFUL place. Unfortunately my sweet pup has passed away since then, he passed away at 16 months due to cancer. He enjoyed himself to the fullest that day and it was his first and only trip to the beach. He fought cancer from the time he was a tiny pup and we finally lost him during an emergency procedure a month ago. Looking back on photos of him and I ran across these and I never had a clue how thankful I’d be to have these little memories of my little fighter. My heart misses him soooo bad but we went above and beyond to let him experience everything he possibly could during his short time with us on Earth. RIP Buddy...

Drove up 40 minutes before sunset which was plenty of time but the gate was already closed and the parking attendant wouldn’t allow us access. We walked in across parking lot to the beach house and watched it from there. Pretty frustrating experience but I guess you live and learn. Just be aware you need to allow an extra few minutes if you want to sit in your car or risk being refused entry. At least 60 cars in the lot so one more wouldn’t have made any difference. Great service and always clean! Everyone is always polite and professional. The prices are good also. If you rent an umbrella and / or chairs, they will bring them to you and put your umbrella in the sand. If the tide moves in, they will come back and move your umbrella back for you also.
