A great place to paddle our kayaks. But only when the lake is high. These channels were made by gold dredges and now have been reclaimed by the flora and fona. Some of the channels were only a foot or two deep and no currents. The tunnel is always fun. As you pass through the tunnel sing your favorite song or whistle a toon. Saw turtles stretching their long necks to soak up the Suns heat. Deer crossing from one island to the next. And a huge Bald Eagle fishing on the lake. We found a small gap in the reads barely big enough for my 3' wide kayak to squeeze through. I scraped the stern a little as I pushed through the reeds. The channel slowly widened as we paddled in. At about 20' in the channel opened into a small hidden pond with a large shade tree over the water. We barely saw it. Can't wait to get back and explore more....

The PRICE was outrageous for the short ride with the group of people who agreed with me that this was no different than a merry go round for the plain fact we had to stay head to toe without venturing out side the line wail our guides galloped around the terrain as we sat and watched them enjoying them selves. Boring is an understatement. Sure I didn't approve of the professionalism of the staff members and that probably has alot to do with my opinion now. That in it's self is a whole nother complaint. Would I recommend this essablishment to anyone else? Sure if I didn't like them. Yes it was that...

This is a great place to get away from the city and be with nature. We ride our horses out here and see everything from deer to coyotes. Its beautiful to just walk leisurely amongst the trees with the smell of the pine trees in the air...it reminds me of camping. Be careful on some of the trails in the early mornings or around sunset the Rattlesnakes are out sunning themselves. Beautiful place!

Spacious park with primitive parking. Big hills of dumped river rock you can climb and experience avalanche like conditions. Horse trails, hiking, biking, cycling, jogging, dog, kids, wild life and river front access. I came across white tail and turkeys. Green space and horse manure. Texas sized acorns near the river.

Very nice, I love taking my dog here. It's just down the road from Phoenix park so I often stop by there first to throw the ball and finish the afternoon with a relaxed walk through Mississippi Bar.
