I think having this as a day use only, where about 1/2 of the lake is motorized 35 mph, and the other is no wake zone; is becoming less attractive every time I visit. Please open camping and park usage to longer hours. Also consider raising the speed limit, thinning the police presence and their desire to restrict the freedoms of jet skiers wake boarders tubers water skiers and tricks of showmanship. The distances for safe operation are far less than 200' and 100' . No wake should be slow to 10mph. To have to crawl for a half mile to the far boat ramp from the no wake buoy line is unreasonably excessive. These are things I know from 17 years ownership of jet skiis, rafting since I was in junior high, kayaking the last couple years, and speed/fishing boat use while sharing camping and exploring experiences with countless friends and family who share these same observations; this is not just a rebellious opinion. Read moreI have loved fishing and relaxing at Henry Hagg Lake and its Recreational areas. The only down side that I have ever really seen is people, who in way too many cases make Pigs look clean and sophisticated. The Park crew makes a special effort to keep the Lake and her Waters clean and as pristine as possible, however in recent years we have had an influx of people who just do not care with some putting in a special effort to be as destructive as possible. Each time I go to the Lake or anywhere else, I take a trash bag and work to assure it is cleaner than when I arrived. To assure that future generations see and enjoy these facilities, we need to implement stiffer and larger fines, not be afraid to Report and Turn in Poachers, Littering and Property Damage to Park Officials, Washington County Sheriff's Office or Oregon State Police. Henry Hagg is a great place to picnic, relax, fish and observe wildlife in a...
Read moreGreat place to go to get away from the city and do some fishing. I helped with and event there on free fishing weekend with an organization called IM HOOKED, it was for underprivileged low income families and inner city youths for them to experience fishing and the outdoors. Everything was free for the kids including lunch. The event was an incredible experience, most of these kids had never seen a lake or been fishing at all it was truly an experience of a lifetime. Each child that signed up received a tackle box with gear, a spinning rod and reel and we're fitted for a life jacket from the coast guard auxiliary and when they completed their lunch card got to go out on a really nice boat trout fishing and many came back with fish. It was an honor to be able to participate...
