We visited on Father's Day and did the aerial obstacle course, monkey grove and adventure village. All in all, we had a great time, especially the over 8 yo kids and adults, and we'll def go back sometime again. BUT... Safety and organization is not what it should be at T2T. First, when we arrived, the girl at the Welcome Center checked us in and just waved us out the door to go find a guide in an orange shirt. We tried finding someone to help us, but they were all busy and did not greet us until we finally went up to a guide that was busy to get their attention. We had reservations for Monkey Grove (3 trees with rock wall climbing grips on them 40 ft tall) first, so the guide said she'd show us down to Monkey Grove. She did not outfit my kids with appropriate kid sized harnesses at the check-in area (more on this later). She started leading us down a path, and then stopped and said "Oh, let me take you on the real path." We didn't think much of it and just followed her. It wasn't until we got home after the visit that we realized that there were "real" paths and other "shortcut" paths that people have created (that look just as wide/well traveled as the real paths), and that those shortcut paths actually unsafely cross under some of the lower zip lines. At one point, I literally was missed by a man zip lining down by maybe 2 ft as I was walking down a shortcut path. If the timing had been slightly different, he could have knocked into my head! It would be smart to explain the paths to visitors, and better yet, block off the unsafe shortcuts! Second, once at MG, the guide showed us how to harness up our kids and buckled her into the belaying system. She completely forgot to give us helmets, and it was only when I asked about helmets that she was all, "Oh! Yes! Here are some helmets." She was friendly, but seemed rushed and careless, and like she didn't really know much (she said she was new there). Better training for the new hires would probably not hurt. Third, no helmets are provided for any of the zip lines, which really surprised me considering there are also no soft pads on the tree trunks, so if you slam into the platform too hard, expect to get a banged up. Also, they don't have gloves available, so bring your own if you want to protect your hands from the metal wires.
Finally, even though the website claims there's stuff to do for all ages (2 yo and up), that isn't really true. My 3 and 6 yo's were pretty bored at times because Adventure Village is very small and not very exciting/challenging. There's just 1 short zip line at AV, and it doesn't require a safety harness, so my 3 yo fell off flat on her back and got hurt. She also couldn't do MG since she doesn't weigh 35 lbs. My 6 yo liked MG, but struggled with the harness being too big and the carabiner clip digging into her chest (it left a bruise). The guide said I could go back up the the check-in and ask for a padded kid harness, but they didn't have them on hand at MG. I felt like the right way to do this would have been to properly check us in and size the kids with the appropriate harnesses at the top, instead of telling me to go get a harness myself after I had walked down to MG with all 4 of my children.
I hope this review is helpful, both to other visitors and as feedback to T2T about how to improve. The zip line adventure park is a super fun concept and I'd hate to see kids or adults get seriously...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBEST. ADVENTURE. PARK. EVER. This was my first time at any adventure park so, discount my feelings if you have experience with adventure parks. Having always been told that i am a monkey, growing up, this was probably the first test that i could wilfully participate in. Needless to say, i would not make the cut in joining a troop, but it would be an understatement if i said that i thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Having signed up for an Aerial Adventure with a couple of friends who had visited before, we were excited to jump in and conquer all the levels of aerial obstacle courses that they had to offer. They have 6 courses with different levels based on difficulty. There are 2 courses each, of levels 1 and 2, followed by 1 course each, of levels 3 and 4. There is also a small section of level 5 difficulty hidden within one of the levels. All the best with that one! The trainers were excellent. We were taught how to properly put on harnesses and always ensure our safety. The courses were well thought out, with bail out zip-lines in the middle of certain levels in case someone wanted to discontinue. Each course was divided into several elements (obstacles). The different elements of the course were well thought out and it progressively became challenging as we went from one level to another. Since a couple of the levels are 30-60ft off the ground, one should be aware in case they have vertigo. During our level 4 (which at its highest point is 60ft above ground), we were stuck a couple of elements behind a young lady who was afraid of setting foot on an obstacle. Eventually there was a pile-up of people on every obstacle behind us. But its important to be patient and calm in such situations. The lady eventually conquered her fear and completed that particular element. Kudos to her for conquering her fear! Once you are done with the courses or are taking a break in between levels, you can also grab some grub from the stands nearby. There are a few options but the hotdogs were so delicious that my friend wanted to go back to this place just for the hotdogs š They also have well maintained restrooms here, but you have to take off your harness completely before going in. Be sure to put your harness back on and check it with a trainer before starting another level. All in all i had a great experience. It was a lot of fun. I completed almost all of the levels without cheats (cheats are holding on to the safety line and completing elements instead of relying on the structures provided in the elements themselves[Damn you level 5 monkey bars!]). They also have a zip line course and several small independent sections like the ninja course, monkey grove - vertically climbing a tree, jumping off a tree and zip line racing section where you and a friend can race on parallel zip lines. Will definitely be back to try these other sections out. Totally recommended for friends, family or even alone if you love these kinds of things as much as i do! There are separate kid's sections for kids below a certain age, but i also came across a couple of 10-12yr old young ladies who were doing level...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWELL worth every penny. EVERY PENNY. We got the full park pass (zip tour, obstacle course, racing zips, monkey grove, and treetop plunge) and I would do it all over again. When I looked at their website it felt promising, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have doubts. This place went above and beyond every expectation I had. First of all, the guides are amazing. Every single one of them. You can tell they really enjoy what they do, and they are great at making you laugh when your 50 feet from the ground, terrified, literally walking on a wire using hanging ropes to balance. The safety system they have (pretty sure it's called ALF?) ensures you won't be injured if you fall (we didn't, because we're cool like that, and we did all 6 courses) and is pretty easy to understand, and even easier to operate after you get it down. The zipline tour was a great way to start the morning (we started at 9am) so there was still that misty morning air. Our guides did all the work, making it super easy to kick back and enjoy the views and the zips. I wish I could say more about it but I wake up slow (started at 9am, remember) and don't remember many details. I can't say enough good things about the obstacle course though. 6 courses of varying difficulty, from beginner to ball-sy. Somebody has put a ridiculous amount of time into designing that. And it shows. Realistically, it can be as easy or as challenging as you want it to be. If you use your safety wire for balance (then your a cheater) but things get a bit easier. If you do the courses the way they were designed though, you're in for a hell of a challenge. I'll admit, I used the safety wire a little bit on the black and red courses (you try not to) because it is pretty challenging, but I'd most definitely do it again. The add on stuff was great too, monkey grove is like a rock climbing wall on tree's, just climb up as high as you dare then drop and the auto-belay system slowly lowers you to the ground. The tree top plunge definitely got my heart racing, you climb up like 60ft or so to a platform and leap off for about a 10 ft free fall before another one of those auto-belay systems catches you and brings you to the ground. The racing zips are exactly what you'd expect, not really sure how else to describe them. Two parallel ziplines that you and a partner race down. The only thing I would suggest changing would be to make the racing zips a bit longer, but other than that it was an AMAZING experience. Would highly recommend. 10/10. I should also mention that after just about every course and add on, we were asked what we thought, like they actually wanted our feedback because they are constantly looking to improve. Well Tree to Tree, I got news for ya. There ain't much to improve. Because it's ALL...
