What to Do in Portland, Oregon: Tree to Tree Adventure

Tree to Tree Adventure Park2975 SW Nelson Rd, Gaston, OR 97119 Surprisingly, many local friends in Portland haven’t been here—so I just have to share this amazing aerial obstacle course we love! 🪜 We take our kids every year, and it never disappoints. It’s part of a chain with locations across the US; we’ve also visited the one in Idaho, and they’re all equally fun 🌲 This particular park is nestled in Henry Hagg Lake State Park, west of Portland. A pro tip: if you’re only here for Tree to Tree, you don’t need to pay the state park fee 🎟️ The courses are cleverly designed, perfect for both adults and kids to enjoy 🎈 You’ll see whole families, teens hanging out, and couples having a great time. Almost any fitness level works—only the most advanced course is a bit challenging, and you can skip it if you want 💪 There are two main activities: Zipline Tour and Aerial Course. We only tried the latter this time, but we’re planning to check out the zipline next visit 🪢 Our family of three spent 3-4 hours here, and there’s no time limit on how long you can play ⏳ ⚠️ If you go on weekends, book online at least 1-2 days in advance! Morning slots are super popular 🌞⚠️ The courses require kids to be 7+, and it’s best for children to be accompanied by an adult 🧑👧👦 Kids aged 7-9 can do four low-to-moderate difficulty courses, while 10+ can try two more high-difficulty ones. But trust me—those four courses were more than enough to make my son thrilled 😆⚠️ Wear closed-toe sneakers! Long pants are recommended too. Avoid new shoes—my husband’s new On sneakers got a small scrape by the end of the day 🥿 After your adventure, if you have time, head to the lake for a picnic or to play in the water 🧺 There’s also a place to rent boats, so you can go boating on the lake 🚤 #PortlandTravel #PortlandFamilyFun #Oregon #Portland
